Connect Computer Recycling partners primarily with registered nonprofit organizations to host electronics recycling fundraisers. Organizations raise funds based on the value and weight of the electronics collected, while together CCR and its nonprofit partners help keep electronics in productive use and out of the waste stream.

Based on Value & Weight
CCR pays the nonprofit based on the value and weight of the electronics collected. Certain electronics have greater reuse/recycling value than others. There is no percentage split.
No Fees
There is no fee charged by CCR to host a fundraiser. Your primary investment is the time and effort to promote the event, secure a location, organize volunteers, and engage your community.
Fundraiser Formats
Choose the format that works best for your organization.
One-Day Recycling Event
Donations are collected at a designated location on a specific day. CCR provides the truck, assists with loading, transports the donated electronics, sorts the collected material to the best of its ability, and weighs the collection.
Ongoing Collection
The nonprofit promotes electronics recycling over a longer period and holds donated equipment until a pickup is arranged with CCR.
CCR Responsibilities
- Provide examples of marketing flyers/materials used by other nonprofit partners.
- Help answer electronics-recycling questions.
- Help notify area/community businesses about the event.
- Provide the truck and transportation.
- Assist with loading donated electronics.
- Sort collected electronics to the best of CCR's ability.
- Weigh the collected electronics and provide a categorized weight-report summary.
- Issue fundraiser payment within 10 business days (approximately two weeks).
Nonprofit Partner
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary marketer/promoter of the fundraiser to supporters and the community.
- Secure an appropriate collection location and obtain permission to use the property.
- Organize volunteers to help with the donation/collection process.
- Use the event as an opportunity to promote the nonprofit and its mission.
Realistic Fundraising Expectations
Every event is different. Based on CCR’s experience, a successful electronics recycling fundraiser may typically generate approximately $450 – $950 for the nonprofit. Actual proceeds depend on the quantity, type, and value of electronics collected, so results are not guaranteed. Some electronics have substantially greater recycling/reuse value than others.
Fundraiser Item Restrictions
Items that require CCR processing fees are not accepted at community fundraiser events at all, even if someone offers to pay the fee. This currently includes:
